Bad Schoolgirl – Introduction

At my first high school, I was consdiered a bad student. I was fine academically – I did well in the subjects I liked and was average in subjects that didn’t interest me. But in terms of “respecting authority” – I was a complete brat.

In hindsight, this may have been the first sign in my life that I was not a compliant or conservative person…

My first high school was a private, Catholic, girls-only school. The headmistress was a nun and there were nuns that lived at the school.

I spent three years (grades 8, 9 & 10) there, constantly in trouble. But not ‘real’ trouble. This was silly trouble. Like I wouldn’t wear my straw hat on the train to & from school. I wouldn’t wear my ‘house’ badges. I wouldn’t tie my hair up.

Clearly, I was a bad egg.

I’m hearing the tone I use to tell off my dog “BAG egg!”
