I’m Most Proud Of

Well, I’m most proud of me. Yep. I don’t like to do the whole “list what I have on my plate” thing much these days, because everyone has different things that impact on them in different ways. But mostly because I feel like it draws busyness competitions and I hate them.

I certainly don’t handle things perfectly, but I do manage. While there is some debate as to if I could be described as a perfectionist or not, I do usually get things done. When I don’t get things done, 99% of the time it’s something I shouldn’t have taken on in the first place, but I did anyway.

I'm Most Proud Of

I guess at the moment I’m proud of me for getting through last week – and the four weeks prior to that. They were a hard slog. Survival isn’t really something I want to be proud of…if that makes sense. Obviously it’s good, but I’d rather be proud of something I voluntarily worked towards, not something I had to do.

So far this year, I’m probably most proud of getting a distinction in my semester one subject at uni. It was really hard, but really interesting. I still feel like I haven’t really grasped all of the content but I had missed so badly feeling challenged. I don’t feel challenged all that often!

How do you view being proud? Does it mean more than just an everyday thing for you?

  2. It’s all about the small things for me,because I’m a chronic under achiever. Ahem. You certainly do seem to get all the things done. Congrats on the distinction xo

Maybe I should include more of the late-night “WHY AM I DOING THIS” whinges and the chocolate that gets eaten along the way šŸ™‚

  3. Congrats on your uni achievement. I keep thinking about doing some study but think I will wait until the kids are a little older.

  4. I’d be very proud of a distinction at uni too – especially considering everything else you have on your plate Vanessa x

  5. You are so right about busyness competitions – what is that about? People are obsessed with proving how busy they are all the time. Who cares!!! I’d rather boast about the fact that I manage a nanna nap most days now I work from home. LOL
