(Fake) New Home Fads

A few weeks ago, I shared with you some new home fads. I’m happy to say that there are now some even newer ones. So whip out those high interest credit cards and get your typing fingers warmed up.

Deck Lifts

If you’re a fan of the 9Life TV channel, you’ll have probably seen strangers get cranky at the lack of, and/or strangely obsessed with boat lifts at their holiday home. Now, I’m not a boatie, but I do live by the beach. From what I see, boats live in the water or at your house, so I have no idea why people are so fucking obsessed with a boat hovering just above the waterline outside their temporary second home. (Ok, I’ll admit hover boats appeal to me on my prominent childish level, but still…) However, we can take those weird concepts from cheap TV shows and apply them to fun things, which brings me to the deck lift. Yep, no longer do you have to decide if you want a patio on the ground floor or a deck on the first floor, because deck lifts allow you to seamlessly greet guests on the ground floor, and raise them up with the champagne to the first floor for the sunset. No sunset view from your place? Oh, well then we don’t want you as a client. Sorry. Our customer-generated Instagram photos need to be perfect.

Window Wipers

Nope, I’m not talking about those who run out to your car at traffic lights and try to clean the windshield for some coins, I’m talking attachments for your windows at home. These will be highly popular for those of you who live in humid climates with wild summer storms, because, once again, this will significantly up your Instagram game. By having window wipers on all of the picturesque windows of your house, you can set them running during the classic summer storm. Which means you can take photos of the incoming cloud porn while reducing your risk of electrocution!

Spinning TVs

Never again do you have to worry about which couch has the best view of the TV. With our giant lazy suzan TV stand, we can spin over 135 RPM, which is so far above what is needed that it’s almost as if the TV isn’t moving at all – but for everyone! Note: migraine sufferers may experience mild vomiting side effects, but that’s ok, because your peppermint essential oil cures everything, doesn’t it?

Which of the newest home fads do you want most?
