6 Free Blog Planners

At the start of 2017, I was undecided how I wanted to plan my blogs. I’m actually a fairly paper based person, but the downside of that is that I then keep using different notebooks and then have the wrong one on me when I need info. Which makes me think I should go digital…anyway, while I’m over here all up in the air, I thought I’d share with you 7 free blog planners that I found while being indecisive. And yes, it’s August and I’m still indecisive and still using a combination of paper and digital.

  1. This makes me feel very disorganised!!

Haha seeing organisation stuff often makes me feel that way too! And some people either don’t need to or can’t plan their blogs – so only take from this what you need to, it’s not a should in any way ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. So I should plan my blogs? Damn. I just keep floating from week to week hoping that inspiration will strike me. It mostly does. But I guess I should be a grown up and start planning things. Maybe I won’t always be scrambling at the last minute. (Sidenote: I was always a procrastinator at uni)

Only as much as you need or want to plan them ๐Ÿ™‚ I am still in half digital, half paper world and I think that’s where I’ll stay – for the parts that I do plan!

  3. What’s blog organisation?!? Haha! I have no idea … maybe I should check some of these out!

    1. Only if it works for you ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. When I was doing a bunch of freelance work along with personal blogging, I made a spreadsheet in google docs to plan my posts. It helped me to keep my creative juices flowing. Now that I am back to just blogging for myself, I let the inspiration come when it wants but I do miss that constant stimulation and brainstorming groove I was in!

    1. Yeah whenever money comes into play, you have to get so much more organsied than when it’s for yourself only.

  5. I’m mostly still paper when it comes to planning – & when I say planning, I mostly only plan my astro blog. The rest is pretty organic. Some of these make planning very attractive indeed.

    1. I prefer paper too. I try to be digital but it just works better on paper for me.

  6. I am way too ad hoc and even though it doesn’t matter because I only blog for myself, I find myself forgetting stuff. I even keep forgetting to link-up for Archive Love! Maybe I need a loose plan, but just something simple otherwise my scatter brain will explode.

    1. Yes, please keep your brain intact! ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I use a calendar in Outlook to roughly plan what I’m going to write about when. This plan is not set in stone, topics can be easily moved and some notes added or links added to the page for that date. When it comes to actually writing the blog, I make note of things that I want to include and then just type it up in a word document.

    1. Sounds like you have a system that works well for you!

  8. Great resources, thanks for linking them.

  9. I’m probably a dinosaur technologically speaking, sometimes I even wonder how I ever managed to start and run a blog, but I do all my blog planning on paper!

  10. I admit it…I am a paper person too. Yesterday I scrolled through my blog to see all the prompts I have used in the nearly one year of Life This Week and I hand wrote them into a book. NB: like you said, do not mislay book or pick up a different one.
The planning I may do for blogging is the come up with a title and maybe some links and have it in my drafts to see if I might use it one day. I must add that reducing my blogging to 2 or 3 times a week has helped me stay ‘fresher’ mentally.
Thank you for linking up for #lifethisweek. On Mon 11 Sept #LifeThisWeek turns one and that is the prompt! Next week: First car/bike.
