Welcome to season two of the NormalNess podcast. It has been a while. Last year when I finished up season one, I was very tempted to live podcast through NaNoWriMo. Then I figured nah That’s silly. You’re going to be doing enough by just writing for NaNo. And yes, I thought now if once I actually made a sensible decision and pulled myself back from a nice shiny idea, and I didn’t podcast and then you know, as things happen, things keep going. Life keeps happening. After NaNo, it tended to Christmas holidays. And I’ve been trying to be very careful about getting downtime and intentional about you know, “self care”. And while I say that, it’s like a stick tight, it’s downtime is actually needs to be proper downtime. So I’ve been trying to make sure I don’t do 10 million hobbies anomaly from my day job, you know, trying to make sure actual rest and things like that. So then Christmas holidays came and went, I had a new job, kind of a job changed a little from what it was last year, technically a completely new position. So I want to give myself time to settle in and not have too much pressure on myself. And then COVID happened. And then here we are, I’m recording this on at the end of May. And it’s a very long time since I’ve podcasted. So none of this was intentional, but it’s been about a six month break since you’ve heard from me. I hope that you know,I hope you’re well. I don’t know what “well” looks like for a lot of people in unprecedented if we’re allowed to say that word any more times. Stay safe. Anyone have small content coming up mostly excitingly, I have a book being launched soon; the day I’m recording this, my task for myself today is to choose the cover, which I’m excited about. So you’ll hear more about that soon. I hope you’re well and I hope I get recording this season. I hope that I won’t leave in six months between Season Two and season three. So stay tuned.
