I posted this on social media a few days ago, and as per my distaste for social-first content, I’m replicating it here:
I’ll be posting an increased amount of videos soon.
It takes me about a year between recording a video, editing (even though I barely edit), uploading, and scheduling… so while it looks like lots will be coming out suddenly, it has actually been a year in the making.
Remember, lots of how people manage their capacity is invisible to you. I’m not suddenly better or cured. The many tiny steps I’ve taken to share the small I enjoy are not in the “visible to others” stage.
That’s all it is.

Note to… myself?
I actually really hate that I felt like I had to post this. I hate that there’s pressure to be productive above joy, I am struggling with some aspects of work and identity (wrote about that here), and overall I hate that someone will think that me sharing clips of video games means I’m somehow not disabled all of a sudden. But these are fears we all live with because the systems people rely on for support are not disability led, they’re not respectful of how we need to balance our lives, and they put capitalism / productivity as the highest value to strive for, instead of asking what our values are.
