The chair job

I realise “The chair job” sounds like some kind of heist movie but I didn’t know what else to name this blog post. Sorry if you were expecting a heist.

A few weeks ago I saw a job ad that required you to own an ergonomic chair and while I have a ton of problems with employees supplying work equipment, my main thought was “bold of you to assume I’m well enough to sit upright and work”.

Ah. Jobs.

Never meeting reality of chronic illness life.

Working is not something that is done only at a desk, using a plain chair, sitting upright.

People who need to sit in different locations, or be horizontal, or whatever bodily needs … all have the right to work too.
