“It’s easier to call…”

It’s time, my fellow humans. It’s time to acknowledge that easier just means more convenient for you. The prevalence of synchronous communication is becoming an issue for me.

 

People need to stop treating asynchronous conversation needs as second class citizens. This is most obvious in a customer service context, where asynchronous needs are met with bots and not humans. But this is far from the only situation.

 

Multiple times now in 2025 I’ve told companies I need communication to be in written format. Multiple times they’ve replied asking me to call. Frankly, I’m sick of it and now I’m just hoping someone with time and energy and money sues them one day so that companies take communication needs seriously. I mean, we ask, and we get ignored.

 

So, fuck them. Learn through punishment if you won’t learn the free way.
