It’s officially new book day!!
The First Time: A memoir about job hunting for the first time as an openly disabled person.
This book is being distributed to all available stores, however, I prefer direct sales as it puts more money into my pocket.
- Direct sales
- Bookstores (will become available over time, each has their own approval time & processes)
Suggested pricing
All of my currently published books are set at a minimum $5. You can read the history of that decision here. In the context of this book, I suggest that if you are a manager, in recruitment, human resources, part of a peak body, or any associated position of perceived power in society, then you should be paying $15 to help compensate for the labour involved in writing about a difficult topic like this.
If you are a low or no income, please email me at normalnessblog AT gmail.com and let me know you’d like a code for a free copy. No details/justification required- just ask me. I can only provide a free code on direct sales – the ones sold via PayHip. The code will allow you to download the book in MOBI, EPUB, and PDF formats. These formats should allow you to read the book in nearly any type of device.
Content notes
This book contains a few things you might want to know:
- The first and main note is that this book is full of ableist microagressions
- The book does contain swear words, usually as a way of including and representing the frustrations I was feeling at the time
Massive thanks to Alyce Caswell for editing the book. Much much needed and so very appreciated. Any mistakes that exist in the published version are mine and mine alone.
I guess that’s all from me. Go forth and purchase, I guess?
