Generally speaking, out of a lack of options how to categorise my blog, I just go for “lifestyle”. Or, as coined by JJ, Brain Blogging.
It’s a bit of a long story, but I’ve been thinking and talking a lot recently about my goals, a direction in life and so on. One of the things I’ve been doing is thinking about what I want in a house. I’ve blogged a bit before about the type of house I want, but recently it’s been a bit more about the style or feel I would want.
I’m a messy person, so I try to be minimalist, because it’s just easier that way. It never works out that way of course! Reality is, I kind of wanted to find pretty things and look at them.
I’m sure it’s totally uncool to say this (but since when have I been cool?) but the last step in deciding to blog about this was actually a BuzzFeed list on bohemian homes that I disagreed with. It just didn’t fit what I would picture. So I figured, why not create my own picture? And, hey, I blog, why not blog it!?
So today marks the inclusion of a new category on the blog, LifeStyle. It will be things I like for the home, from around the internet! I prefer to look at Australian companies (and preferable Australian made), but realistically I spend far too much time on Pinterest for this to be 100% Aussie only.
Do you have any Australian homewares/lifestyle brands you’d like to recommend?
Congrats on the new blog – I will ponder homewares and get back to you…not really my field…
I buy most of my furniture from A Mart so I wouldn’t be able to recommend anything! Sounds like a great angle and I look forward to your posts 🙂
I can’t think of any suggestions other than Dinosaur designs make gorgeous resin platters. Blame it on baby brain, but I will be reading this section of your blog for interest. 🙂
I have to confess that I’m a bit of an IKEA addict. I look forward to seeing your lifestyling posts 🙂
Exciting times! It’s always nice to add another dimension to our blogs 🙂
How cool are you? Go forth and conquer, I look forward to your style posts!
