Beach Date

Beach Date

After hiding out at home in the air conditioning from a very hot day today, I started to go a little stir crazy. I needed to get out. So we decided to go get some dinner and eat it at the beach.

Beach Date

We called up our favourite local Thai restaurant and ordered a large coconut rice. $4.50 and it’s so light and fluffy and delicious.

I always keep picnic/BBQ supplies in the car, so there’s no need to grab anything other than waterbottles when we have an impromptu picnic. And yes, I will be blogging my BBQ Kit – I just need to restock some parts of it.

The beaches get a bit busier on the weekend, but we left at about 5pm so most of the weekend tourists have gone home by then. We pretty much had the place to ourselves.

Redcliffe Beach

It was really nice to just be out for a while and sit in the sand. I get antsy if I don’t get to dig my toes in the sand often enough!

Do you get to the beach often? What’s a quick, cheap date that you go on?

  1. Great idea for a close and intimate date day without having to really spend that much and the beach makes such a great atmosphere with the calmness and sounds of the ocean!

    1. And there’s nothing like some fresh air 🙂

  2. Aww thanks for posting this! – sometimes we just forget that things don’t have to be too lavish or expensive to be memorable. Will have to get to the beach one of these days!
