#2015TheYearOfMe Weekly Challenge 1

#2015TheYearOfMe Challenge 1

Welcome to Tuesday! Also a Monday in job terms and by the sounds of twitter this morning, lots of kids going back to school.

It seems like my goal this year, #2015TheYearOfMe has resonated with a lot of people. I’ve been asked how people can join in with this. So what I’m doing is creating weekly challenges to put yourself first. These will be easy and I hope you can find a way to fit them into your life and put yourself first.

This week we are starting very simple with #2015TheYearOfMe Challenge 1: I want you to sit in a quiet park for 10 minutes. Fit it in where ever you can in your day. (Um, please also do so in a safe park!)

I would love for you to share your journey this year using the hashtag #2015TheYearOfMe on whichever social media platform you like.

  1. What a fabulous idea! I will endeavour to find a park to sit in for 10 mins this week, take a pic and post to Instagram with your hashtag! Hope the rain holds off! lol 🙂

    1. Enjoy that time!

  2. Love that you’re turning this into a challenge. Fabulous! Although me finding 10 minutes toddler free to sit in a park… probably won’t happen. So I will cherish the half hour of getting my hair cut today in it’s place 😉

    1. Being a non-parent, parks are a place of peace to me. I did wonder if parents probably wouldn’t see it that way! It sounds like you’ve got a great alternative though 🙂

  3. That sounds divine. I’m in. #TeamIBOT

      Yes!

  4. I can definitely do this! My new office has a beautiful park next to it! Guess where I’ll be for 10 minutes tomorrow?

      Enjoy it 🙂

  5. Sounds great. I don’t remember the last time I sat in a park!!!

I try to do it as often as I can. And sometimes it feels like barely anyone uses parks anymore, so they’re nearly always empty.

  6. I love having quiet time in parks. It always drives me nuts though when I see people using their mobile phones because they can’t bring themselves to do ‘nothing’ for a few minutes.
