This week I’ve most definitely been elsewhere. Cocooned in my own little world of woe is me with a very annoying and persistent cold. Or something. Personally it has felt like tonsillitis to me (because I’ve been crying at strange things and tonsillitis makes me do that) but when my throat was probed yesterday by a random GP she said it didn’t look bacterial. Either way, I’ve been feeling crappy since Sunday and not much has improved. I know, it’s just a cold. But I’m bored. I’m bored of being sick. I’m bored of telling people I’m sick.
The weirdest part of this virus is that apparently I don’t have a temperature. Even when I was sweating in the GPs office yesterday my temperature was normal.
While my life has been boring and it has been quiet on here, I’ve been floating off in other parts of the internet.
- You can find the first post in my Tip From A Blogger series over here at Bloggers and Bacon.
- I wrote about noticing my own thought patterns over at Kiki And Tea. I’m no expert but it sort of worked for me.
- I actually updated my long-neglected travel blog about missing travel.
- If you’re starting a new job any time soon, I have my first day survival tips at the Leave Home Blog.
And that kind of ends this extreme lack of an update!
I hate being sick. In fact I live in terror of being sick. I took a sick day this week because I had a feeling I was getting a cold… but I didn’t. Get lots of rest and drink a lot of soup. Mother Pinky has spoken.
Prevention! I am the worst patient, seriously.
Being sick is the worst, worst, WORST. I really hope you feel better soon, Vanessa!
I’m getting there finally! Feel human now I can breathe better and can finally sleep better too.
