As vast as the online world can seem when you’re trying to break into it, the reality is that it’s still very small. It gets smaller still when you narrow down by niche and/or location. You will get to know your fellow bloggers in the same and related topics.
How To Be A Good Blog Citizen
I think there are two main questions to ask yourself to see if you support the blogging community and if you’re a good blog citizen.
Do you share?
Do you share posts written by other bloggers?
Do you comment?
Do you comment on other blogs? Do you comment on the sites of people who comment on yours?
As with everything in blogging (and, uh, life), you won’t ever get to the point of thinking “Oh, I’ve finished the internet today”. Work out how you can incorporate these simple activities into your blogging and social media schedules. Start by sharing one post and commenting on one blog per week. Work up from there. It doesn’t have to be big, but you’re a better blog citizen if you can try this.
