You know what I hate most about marketing? That it assumes we’re narrow single minded humans. That we want x, so we have to do y.

 

That we have no nuance, no autonomy.

 

That we’re not contradictions. 

 

Even the sims have more nuance than mainstream marketing gives us credit for. They have moods. I feel like if marketing acknowledge we had moods (depth is too much to ask for) they’d all fall apart, not knowing what to do when they can’t claim their one thing is the fixer to all.
