I love to make my own gift baskets. The commercial ones are usually expensive and not quite relevant to the person you want to buy them for. So, as with many things in life, if you can’t find what you want, then just DIY it!
Someone in my day job life was moving into a new and stressful role, as well as moving cities. I figured she could use a little pick-me-up! So I created the Emergency Brownie Kit!
It was really simple to make. I picked up the bucket from Daiso in Brisbane, bought a 99c spatula from Ikea, and then grabbed some Betty Crocker Brownie mix & cellophane and hey presto – DIY Emergency Brownie Kit was done!
All up this cost me no more than $10 – what a bargain for a custom gift basket. And more personal than a gift card or something! If you were more of a craft person than me, I’m sure you could have designed a label for it that wasn’t WordArt too!
Do you have a go-to quick gift idea? Share below – because coming into Christmas we’ll all probably need one soon!

Great idea for a Christmas Gift for one of those mystery Santa events or perhaps even Teachers Present.
Thanks Fran – it was an easy one, that’s for sure! Though I have gotten some jokes about how they’ve had to make their own gift now 🙂
